Elmer Yoder

Elmer A. Yoder, age 65, of Montezuma, Georgia, passed away on November 19th, 2024.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 2-3:30 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Montezuma Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall, 2307 Whitehouse Rd, Montezuma. Georgia. Pastor Donny Swartzentruber will officiate the service.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Montezuma Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Elmer was born on July 16th, 1959, in Americus, Georgia to Alva and Sara Yoder. He grew up in Montezuma along with eleven siblings.
He was baptized in his youth and became a faithful member of the Montezuma Mennonite Church for many years, serving as a Sunday School teacher, youth counselor, and in many other capacities as needed. He was faithful in providing for his family and operated a butcher shop for over 30 years, touching many people in the community and surrounding areas. Elmer enjoyed reading and studying and also had a unique way of connecting to people on a personal level. His greatest joy was family and spending time with them.
Elmer is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Rosanna; one son, Benji Yoder of Kentucky; six daughters, Rebecca and (Ryan) Weaver of Kenya, Africa, Christina and (Adam) Yoder of Montezuma, Georgia, Andrea and (Kevin) Yoder of Coshocton Ohio, Katlyn and (Leslie) Yoder of Mannsville, New York, Jessica and (Anson) Weaver of Montezuma, and Kristen Yoder of Montezuma, Georgia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Sara Yoder, and one sister, Laura Whitt.
