HOULTON - Eloine T Devou born 10/6/1938 of Houlton Maine passed away 12/28/2022 peacefully at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Grand Fall, NB Canada, the daughter of Hughes and Theresa (Carol) Gillespie.
Eloine is survived by her husband Joe Devou of Houlton and her four children; Jody (Devou) Harvey and her husband Wendell E Harvey Jr of Houlton, Jane Devou of Portland, Joe Devou Jr and his wife Mary of Levant, and Tabby Devou and her husband Conrad Marsh of Dover-Foxcroft; four grandchildren Lauren (Harvey) Rouse and husband Thomas Rouse III of Houlton, Jessica (Devou) Clements and husband Jon of Newburgh; Joshua Devou and wife Anastasia of Brooks, Jacob Marsh of Dover-Foxcroft; four great grandchildren Molly & Maddie Rouse, Jolene Clements and Lawrence Devou; one sister Madelon Martin and husband Roly of St John NB Canada.
Eloine was predeceased by her sister Maria Doody and two brothers Daryl Gillespie and Burton Gillespie.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and special thanks to Janet Rockwell (Hospice RN) and Margaret Casey (Hospice Social Worker) for their care and compassion.
Internment will take place for family members in the spring of 2023.
