Eloise Kirven

Mrs. Eloise Cummings Kirven was born on September 6, 1939 In Florence County. She was born to the
late Theodore and Ruth Hines Cummings. She worked various jobs in Manufacture and later retire at
G.E. She attended Long Branch School of Effingham.
Eloise was affectionately called "Mother" by her Children, Grandchildren and Many that Love and
adored her and looked to her as that Motherly figure.
She was baptized and received the holy ghost at an early age. She was a member of Zion Temple
Holiness Church and later became a member of Zion Chapel Holiness Church where she was a member
of many auxiliaries such as being on the Usher Board, Deaconess as well as held the title of President of
the Young Adult Choir which later became The Inspirational Choir where she loved to lead many songs
of worship.
Mrs. Eloise was united in Holy Matrimony to the late David Kirven and to this union five children was
born, one which preceded her in death, Larry D. Kirven along with her Husband. Mrs. Eloise also was
Preceded in death by her two brothers Theodore "Son" Cummings Jr. and Cole "Rat" Cummings, Four
Sisters, Icelean "Baby Sister" Walker, Dorothy Cummings Daniels, Ruth Lee Cummings Williams and
Joann Harrell all of Effingham SC.
Mother leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Charles Kirven, Darren (Yvonnie) Kirven, Two Beloved
Daughters Ruby Hardin and Patricia (Leroy) Johnson, Daughter in Law, Alberta Kirven and one sister in
law Bertha Rush Cummings all of Effingham SC. Eight Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and a host
of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.

thanks to her Nurses, Brook and Tabatha and her Aid Jessica at Amedisys Hospice.
