Eloy De La Paz, Jr., 55, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday June 4, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Seth Ward Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas.
Eloy was born on March 19, 1970 in Raymondville, Texas to Janie De La Paz De Luna. Eloy worked as a forklift driver for the Service Gin for most of his career. He was often called the “human crane” due to his ability to move anything. His favorite pass time was fishing with his brother, David. Eloy loved his family and enjoyed cooking out for everyone in his family. He also enjoyed watching movies and spending quality time with his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maria M. Cisneros; one nephew, Rolando Acosta and one great nephew, Jayden De La Paz.
He is survived by his mother, Janie De La Paz De Luna and Step-Father Geronimo De Luna; four sisters, Amy De La Paz, Alma Chavez, Monica De La Paz, Jerry Lee De Luna; one brother, David De La Paz and numerous nieces and nephews.
