Elsie Keith

Elsie Fay Keith, age 70, of Mena, Arkansas, died Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Johnson County Health and Rehab in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was born on Thursday, September 22, 1955 to Boyd Bell and Elsie Forehand Bell in Houston, Texas.

Elsie was a devoted nurse whose kindness, outgoing spirit, and wonderful sense of humor touched everyone she met. She was widely known as a fantastic nurse, serving with compassion and excellence in the Labor and Delivery Department at Mena Regional Health System and also at med surge at the Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville. Elsie had a love for carnations, enjoyed collecting Campbell Soup memorabilia, and was famous among friends and family for making the very best salsa dip at gatherings. She attended the Clarksville Freewill Baptist Church, she lived her life rooted in service and love. Above all, family meant everything to her, especially her children, and she cared for her patients with the same devotion and tenderness she gave to those she loved most.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband, Benjamin Adam Keith.

Elsie is survived by her two daughters and son in law, Jeana White of Fort Smith, and Summer and Rodney Branham of Fort Smith; two step sons, Sam Keith of Clarksville, and Adam Keith of Clarksville; one brother and sister in law, Stephen and Elaine Crump of New Hampshire; three sisters and brothers in law, Jeannie Locker of Kentucky, Kathy and Junior Chance of Texas, and Vicky and Vernon Hall of Hot Springs; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; father of Jeana and Summer, Gary Trice of Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Concord Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Ink, Arkansas.
