Elva Guebara

Elva Guebara, born December 18, 1963, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, surrounded by the love she spent her life giving so freely to others. She was a devoted wife; a deeply loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and a constant source of care, warmth, and strength to her family.

Elva was the heart of her home. She had a quiet way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved whether through her kindness, her thoughtfulness, or simply being there when someone needed her. Her love for her family was unwavering, and everything she did was rooted in her desire to care for those she held close.

For more than 25 years, Elva served as a director at the Kansas Children's Service League, where she brought the same love, compassion, and joy to her work that she gave so freely at home. Her dedication touched countless lives, and she was deeply respected for her kindness, leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Elva was also her family's biggest supporter. She rarely missed a sporting event, concert, or milestone, always showing up with pride, encouragement, and unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. No matter where she was, her presence made people feel supported and cherished.

She is survived by her loving husband, George Guebara of Deerfield, Kansas; her children, Alishea and Jacob Hahn of Purcell, Oklahoma, George Guebara Jr. of Deerfield, Kansas, and Daniel and Amanda Guebara of Lenexa, Kansas; her cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Elizabeth, Isabella, George III, Joshua, Zoey, Juliana, Evan, and Elijah; and her beloved great-grandchild, Enzo her favorite little Italian, who brought her so much joy as well as brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Juana Martinez of Deerfield, Kansas; her brothers, Joseph, Laco, and Jesse (Chaz); and her sister, Dora, all of whom she carried in her heart throughout her life.

Elva's legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she nurtured with such devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her gentle spirit, her compassion, and the boundless love she gave to everyone around her.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday February 14, 2026 at Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Raul Silva officiating.
