ELVA OUELLETTE BATEMAN SHEPARD SANDERS
7/24/28 - 3/16/23
Elva, as known to her career associates, Ouellette, as known to her family. Ouellette married Robert (Bob) Lee Shepard on December 31, 1948. They were happily married for 43 years when Bob was called to heaven in 1992. In 1999 Ouellette married Harold Sanders and was married for 12 years when he was called home.
Ouellette and Bob had three children, Margaret (Peggy) Maginnis, Rebecca (Becky) McDonell and Michael (Mike) Shepard.
Their three children were all happily married, Peggy and John Maginnis with their daughter Katie, Becky and Bob McDonell with their two sons, Bobby and Sam, and Mike and Phyllis Shepard with their two daughters, Melissa and Callie.
In addition to the 5 grandchildren, there were also 5 great-grandchildren: Melissa and Patrick Stevenson's son, Collin, and daughter, Dorothy, and Callie and Matt Honious' sons, Will and Vinnie, and daughter, Ellie.
Elva had a long and rewarding career. At age 17 she traveled to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. to help with the WWII effort. She later attended Hill's Business College and by the time she retired was Vice President in charge of investments at National Foundation Life Insurance Company.
Now that she is in heaven she will be reunited with those that have passed before her: Her dearly beloved husband, Bob Shepard, her beloved second husband, Harold Sanders, her daughter Peggy Maginnis, and her sons-in-law John Maginnis and Bob McDonell.
Ouellete touched many lives and had numerous friends. She was a devoted Wife, a wonderful Mom and a loving Grandma. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at Harrah United Methodist Church, Harrah, OK on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:00PM.
