Emanuel Lunk

Emanuel Lunk, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024, at his home in Richland Center. He was born on March 21, 1935, in Marienwerder, West Prussia, Germany, the son of Max Johan Lunk and Helene Hellwig. Emanuel was the first in his family to emigrate to the United States, with his parents and siblings joining him later in 1953. A self-trained musician and talented guitarist, Emanuel also played the autoharp and accordion. He was a certified nutritional consultant and a self-employed entrepreneur, proudly owning and operating Nutrition Enterprises in Richland Center, with his wife Nancy. He was known for his self-sufficiency and strong belief in sustainable, independent living, a testament to his resourcefulness and independent spirit. Emanuel's biggest passion was telling others about Jesus.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Russell Lunk of Richland Center, WI; 6 children Cindy (Dan) Palacious of Indiana, Miriam (Ben) Estep of Burle, WI, Wayne (Dianna) Lunk of Sextonville, WI, Deanna (Brian) Christensen of Indiana, Jason Edwards of Sextonville, WI, Jennifer (Ryan) Andreae of Minnesota; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ingeborg (Ken) Lankey, Marianne (Delbert) Wright; and a brother, Horst (Diane) Lunk; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Seigfred Lunk, Johannes "John" Lunk; and a sister, Ruth Lipton.
A private funeral service will be held at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center, WI, with burial in the Richland Center Cemetery.
