Emanuel Velasquez, 41, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 31, 1984, in San Antonio, the son of Domingo Velazquez and Maria Velazquez.
Emanuel attended Moulton ISD, graduating in 2003, and later attended ITT Tech in San Antonio. He worked at Madeline’s in San Antonio, where he discovered his passion for cooking and making pastries. It was there that he met his great friend Daniel Riojas. Emanuel and Daniel later moved to Oklahoma, where they both worked and made many friends. In 2015, Emanuel returned to Moulton, Texas, where he worked for 10 years at Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) in Schulenburg.
Emanuel was a devoted pet owner and loved his dog, Perky, who was his loyal companion. Outside of work, he enjoyed cooking, going to the movies with his nieces, nephew, and stepson. He also loved listening to old 90s music. Emanuel had a great sense of humor and was known for his ability to make people laugh. He had a gift for bringing joy to those around him and was a true friend who made connections wherever he went. Emanuel loved spending time with his family and friends and cherished attending company parties and other gatherings, where he would always bring fun and laughter.
Emanuel is survived by his mother, Maria Velazquez; his father, Domingo Velazquez; his sisters, Wendy Lowe (Paul) and Araceli Velazquez, both of Moulton; and his stepson, Amuri Mathis. He is also survived by his nieces, Almaleigh Lowe and Analeigh Lowe; his nephew, Avery Lowe; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Emanuel will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. His legacy of laughter, kindness, and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
