Emelie Thomas Obituary
Born on November 20, 1946, in East Liverpool, Emelie was the cherished daughter of the late Alfred and Jeanette Stevens Rickerd. She attended East Liverpool High School and dedicated many years to working at Fox's Nursing Home. Emelie was an avid volleyball player and fan, taking great joy in watching her granddaughters play the sport she taught them. She also enjoyed cheering on her great-grandsons as they played baseball. Her mornings were spent watching her favorite game shows, and she loved playing Yahtzee with family and friends. Emelie will be remembered for her wit, sarcasm, and stubborn spirit.
She is deeply missed by her daughter, Stephanie Harsha (Jim) of Lisbon; grandchildren, Brooke Zoellers (Christopher McHenry) and Kylee Zoellers (Cody Schad); great-grandchildren, Henry McHenry and Brady Jackson; her sister, Diane Horner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Emelie's life will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Arner Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Norm Eckert. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service, from noon until 2:00 PM.
