Terry leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Dawn Zimmerman Shaffer; daughter, Kylie Harbin (Ian Scott); son, Brett Shaffer; grandsons Andrew and Ethan Harbin; and his sister, Janice Synstad (Dean).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emerson (Bill) and Marjorie Zammit Shaffer, and a sister, Phyllis Ortego (Joe).
The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday, July 29, at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00. Internment will follow at 2:00 pm at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary.
