Emil G. Cindea, a beacon of kindness and ambition, was born on April 5, 1933, in
Canton, Ohio, and he left us on March 21, 2025. Emil was a man of strong character, renowned for his intelligence, loyalty, and thoughtful nature. With a heart full of warmth and a spirit brimming with resilience, Emil led a life that was as inspiring as it was full. His nurturing soul left an indelible mark on everyone he met and every place he went.
Emil was a devoted family man who cherished his wife Carolyn, with whom he shared an incredible journey of love and companionship since their marriage on December 23, 1953. He was a proud father to his son David Cindea, his daughter Suzanne Siegler, and his son John Cindea, and a loving father-in-law to Tina Cindea. Emil was preceded in death by his parents, Stephan and Euphemia Cindea; brothers Stephan, Tom, Mircia, Cornell, Virgil, Eugene; sisters Melanie and Elizabeth (Betty). He is survived by brothers Earl (Buddy) and Nicholas. He was a loving grandfather to Corwin Cindea and his wife Aya, Cassandra Petersen and husband Dennis, Nicholas Siegler, Tyler Cindea and his wife Alexis, Tobin Cindea and great grandson Emerson Petersen. His life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family and the power of love.
In his thirty-three career, Emil served as the General Superintendent of Material Handling at the Timken Company in
Canton, Ohio. His ambitious and smart approach to his work was admired by many and left a lasting impact on the industry. Emil's passion was not limited to his work; he was a passionate McKinley Bulldog fan, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon Club and a long standing member of Trinity United Church of Christ. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life.
We invite friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating Emil's life on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 3909 Blackburn Road Northwest,
Canton, Ohio, 44718. Visitation begins at 12:00 PM EDT, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM EDT. Military honors and burial will be at 1:30 PM EDT at West Lawn Cemetery in
Canton, Ohio.
