Wayne Lawson

Wayne Raymond Lawson, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his residence. Wayne was born on December 6, 1956, in Canton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Ray Lawson and Edna Pugh, and his brothers, Carl "Kip" Vincent Lawson and Roy Lawson.

Wayne was a devoted and loving father, stepfather, grandfather, and fiancé whose presence brought warmth, humor, and steadfast love to all who knew him.

Wayne is survived by his beloved fiancée, June Evans. He was a proud father to his daughters Jennifer Lawson (Jared Fuss), Alisa Al-Rubiay (Joe Al-Rubiay), and Racheal Pantoja (Roberto Pantoja). He was also a caring stepfather to Ryan Evans, Austin Evans, Robbie Dine, and Alexandria Decker.

Wayne cherished his role as a grandfather and is lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren: Jacob Newell (Abigail Newell), Savannah Yacklin, Magdalena Juarez, Zoe Stepleton (Conner Stepleton), Justice Al-Rubiay (Megan Dusenberry), Diego Pantoja, and Isabel Juarez.

A passionate sports fan, Wayne was a lifelong supporter of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians, rarely missing a game and always sharing in the highs and lows with enthusiasm and loyalty. Above all else, Wayne valued family, and his legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, dedication, and love.
