Emily Harding, 87, of Salisbury, MA, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025 at Port Healthcare in Newburyport, MA.
Emily was born in Eagle Lake, ME, the daughter of the late Yvonne and Joseph Langlais on May 3, 1938. Emily lived at Eagle Lake until she was 16, then she moved to Lynn, MA, and later moved to Salisbury, MA, where she settled down with her husband Earl, to enjoy their retirement.
Growing up on Eagle Lake she enjoyed shooting at the gun ranges. She also enjoyed many camping trips with her siblings and children. During her retirement Emily enjoyed spending time at her camp in Maine, walking with her husband on the beach, planting flowers, and working in the yard.
Emily worked as a Nursing Assistant at different facilities where she cared for many residents and was proud to be a caregiver, it brought her much joy.
Emily was predeceased by her husband Earl on May 15, 2015. She was also predeceased by her three siblings, Felix Langlais, Gertrude Jessome, and Marie Allen.
She leaves behind three children and their spouses, Brian Harding and his wife Kathleen of Salisbury, Kevin Harding and his wife Vicki of Londonderry, NH, and Diane Mooers and her husband Bruce of Rochester, NH; her grandchildren, Cody and his wife Colby, Jason and his wife Bethie, Jessica and her fiance Sean, and Jamie; her great-grandchildren, Zach, Bella, and another on the way in September; her dear friend Cheryl of Amesbury, MA; her beloved cat, Ollie, as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Port Healthcare for the care of Emily these past couple of weeks.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Emily Harding can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA, followed by a service at 7 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the Veterans Section of Union Cemetery, Haverhill Road, Amesbury, where Emily will be laid to eternal rest beside her beloved husband, Earl.
