With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Emily Ann (Burnette) Olson, 66, a loved mother, grandmother, wife and friend who departed this life on June 22, 2025.

Born a twin on July 15, 1958, in Chicago Illinois. Emily spent her life caring for others while working in the medical field between the vibrant streets of Chicago and the close-knit community of Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she made her new home and spent her life devoted to her family and those she cared for. Emily was the wife of (Allan Olson) and proud mother of three children (Gabriel Burnette, Gloria Saunders and Joshua Bailey). Sister to (Deno and Edith) and a loving stepmother to (Allan, Cruz and Joyce) whom she welcomed with an open heart. She was a constant source of strength, support and unconditional love not only to her family but to everyone who knew her.

Her greatest joy came from her role as a grandmother. Emily cherished her eight grandchildren (Alonzo, Nia, Alijah, Azelea, Joshua, Josiah, Kyle and Kyren). She was also great grandmother to Nova. She embraced every moment spent with them offering her warmth, stories, and her steady presence. Her legacy lives on in their memories, hearts, and the love she poured into each of them.

Emily will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her strength, resilience, warmth and the kindness she extended to all whether lending a helping hand or comforting presence. She touched the lives of many and showed up when it mattered most.

She is survived by her husband, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, brother, and sister as well as a host of family and friends whose lives are forever changed by her love.
