On Friday, September 19, 2025, Emma E. (Hensel) Case, 93, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Allan R. Case, Sr. for 48 years before his passing in 1997. She was born on May 2, 1932 in Flemington, NJ, to the late Paul and Katherine (Balg) Hensel. Emma was owner/operator of The Corner Store in Baptistown, NJ, and then the Case Farm Hatchery in Glenville, PA. She was very active at St. Jacob's Stone Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed raising sheep and was always keeping in touch with her friends and family.
Emma is survived by her children, Cindy Free, Allan Case, Jr. and wife Wendie, Mickey Case, and Brooks Case, Sr. and wife Victoria; two sons-in-law, Gus Theodoro and Keith Beigle; nine grandchildren, Danielle, Athena, Bambi, Allan III "Skeeter", Christina, Colbi, Drew, Dal, and Brooks, Jr.; fifteen great-grandchildren; her two caregivers, Heather and Emily; as well as her beloved sheep. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two daughters, Sheran Theodoro and Janice Beigle; one son-in-law, Ken Free; four siblings, Peter, Marie, Katherine, and Betty; two grandchildren, Ken, Jr. and Justin; and two great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, September 27, from 9:00 am until a funeral service begins at 11:00 am at St. Jacob's Stone UCC, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville, PA 17329. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the church at the address above. Online condolences may be made at www.geiple.com.
