Emma Fields Obituary
Emma Fields, born on April 14, 1943, passed away on November 29, 2025. Emma will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to her family and leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.
Emma is survived by her sons, Homer (Nancy) Fields, Jeffery Wayne Fields, and Garland Keith Fields; her daughters, Wilma (Paul) Hunt, Theresa Lynn Fields, and Ashley Kay Branham; and her sister, Garnett Rogers. Emma leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Kevin Fields, Tiffany Swiney, and Stella Swiney, as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Jacie Tackett, Azlynn Hardin, and Xander Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Garland Fields; her son, Virgil Fields; her parents, Richard Iricks and Jane Iricks; and her brothers, Harlan Iricks, Leonard Iricks, Adron Iricks, and Everett Iricks. The loss of Emma will be felt profoundly by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with special services at 7:00 PM, at Lucas & Son Funeral Home, located at 2931 US Highway 23 S, Pikeville, KY 41501. The funeral service will take place the following day, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM, also at Lucas & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Sword Cemetery.
Emma’s warmth, kindness, and spirited character will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
