Enos Smith Stockbridge, age 70, of Emerson passed peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.

Enos was born in Baltimore, Maryland, December 9, 1954, to the late David S. Stockbridge and Walterine Shows Stockbridge. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dave "Buddy" Stockbridge, sister, Patricia Stockbridge, and precious pup, Muffin.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Vivian Hall Stockbridge and their 5-year-old golden retriever, Buddy; nephews, Joel Stockbridge and David Stockbridge; also surviving several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Enos retired from the United States Post office after 20 years of service. He was a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and NASCAR, particularly Bill and Chase Elliott. Enos enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching beach sunsets. He loved taking Sunday rides, riding his motorcycle, and admiring the fall foliage. He was also fond of attending air shows and watching 'Stump Mark' on Kelly and Mark Live. Enos enjoyed listening to 94.9 The Surf out of Myrtle Beach. He was a loving husband and a loyal friend.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Cary Hall officiating. Pallbearers include Michael Hall, Matthew Myrick, Christopher Dasher, Evan Dasher, Alan McCormick, and Caleb Hall. Honorary pallbearers include Leslie McCormick, Tim Dasher, and Denny Wenz.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Enos' honor to St. Jude’s at www.stjude.org/donate.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of arrangements for Enos Smith Stockbridge.
