Enrico R. Barros

NEW BEDFORD- Enrico R. Barros, age 63, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his residence in New Bedford.
Born in Taunton, Enrico was one of seventeen children born to the late Rocky Rodrick and Jean (Perry) Barros. He was raised in Taunton and attended Taunton High School.
Enrico worked as a Youth Counselor for the Commonwealth of MA, where he was assigned to the Wrentham State School, where he assisted many.
In his spare time Enrico had a passion for art, especially painting, which was his true joy. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Chicago Bears and University of Michigan Wolverines. He liked to go fishing and also play the guitar and piano, with much of his musical influence from Bob Marley and the Beatles. Enrico also enjoyed Tae Kwon Do and Karate, inspired by Bruce Lee.
Enrico is survived by his three children: Natessa Barros, Marcus Barros, and Nicholas Cataloni; his grandchildren: Mackenzie Mammoli, Bailey Vicente, Kaedin Vicente, Landyn Vicente, and Jasmine Barros; his great-grandson: Finley Giovanni Hardy; his siblings: Edward Lopes, Linda Moore, Manny Barros, Charmaine Kelly, Rachelle Silva, and Carmen Barros; and also numerous nieces, nephews, late siblings and extended family members and friends.
The family encourages bright colors seeing as he was a colorful person.
Memorial Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 6:30pm in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) in Taunton. The family encourages bright colors seeing as he was a colorful person.
