Epifania Gutierrez Baltierra, a beacon of warmth and unwavering love, gracefully entered eternal rest on October 10, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on April 7, 1953, in the welcoming community of Maxwell, Texas, Epifania lived a life rich with family bonds, laughter, and simple joys that touched everyone around her.She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Juan R. Gutierrez and Enriqueta Y. Gutierrez, as well as her beloved brothers: Gilbert Valdez, Cornelio Gutierrez, Filomeno Gutierrez, and Basillio Gutierrez. Though they have gone before her, the memories they shared continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew them.Epifania's spirit truly blossomed in the company of her loved ones. Her happiest moments were spent gathering with her brothers, sister, and their families for heartfelt dinners, adventurous trips, or joyful celebrations. Nothing brought her more delight than watching her granddaughters-Jessica, Britny, and Tyshyra-thrive, along with the playful energy of her great-grandchildren and the extended circle of nieces and nephews who adored her. A steaming cup of coffee, a shared meal, or a lively conversation could light up her day; she had a gift for turning everyday moments into treasured connections, and her infectious love for chatting will echo in fond stories for years to come. She leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her cherished daughter, Mariana Gutierrez Perez (Antonio); her devoted sons, Gary Gutierrez and Alex Baltierra; her brothers, Jose Gutierrez (Debbie) and Ruben Gutierrez; and her sister, Dominga G. Martinez. Epifania's light continues to glow through her three granddaughters: Jessica Mireles (Raymond), Britny Perez, and Tyshyra Gutierrez; and her five great-grandchildren: Hayley Mireles, Marcus Martinez, Eli Mireles, Ezekiel Mireles, and Matteo Mireles.Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at DeLeon Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by burial in Memory Lawn Memorial Park. In celebrating Epifania's life, we remember not the sorrow of her passing, but the boundless joy she spread-a reminder to cherish every gathering, every sip of coffee, and every heartfelt talk. She will be deeply missed, yet her warmth lives on in the family she so dearly nurtured. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Epifania, please visit our floral store.
