Epifanio Lazcano, born on April 7, 1943 in El Potrero de los Indios in Durango, Mexico entered everlasting life on Thursday, September 21st at 2:04am surrounded by his loving family in Waukesha, Wisconsin at the grand age of 80, joining is late wife Leonila (Pepita) Acosta.
Known to the Spanish speaking community as Pifanio, or Epi in the English speaking community, Pifanio had the kindest and most welcoming heart known to man. With his home open to all and his table always full of food, there was never a moment one was not made to feel like family.
Some might have believed he had a hard heart with a tough exterior, but having met many life challenges his path was not always easy. However, Pifanio overcame these obstacles when he committed his life to the one and only savior Jesus Christ. Gaining the respect of all that knew him by sharing His testimony with those that came in contact with during his continued walk with Christ.
Pifanio was baptized at Golden Lake on August 27, 2017. Continuing his spiritual growth, Pifanio read his bible daily and did his fellowship at his local church, Temple La Hermosa.
Pifanio married Pepita on May 2, 1970 and together they created a life with 6 beautiful children: Lola (Felipe) Martinez, Pancho (Cheryl) Lazcano, Johnny (Valerie) Lazcano, Ruben (Amanda) Lazcano, Silvia Lazcano, Richard (Megan) Lazcano, and 2 grandchildren they considered their own: Maribell and Shaila Martinez.
Pifanio and Pepita’s most prized possessions were their 14 grandchildren, followed by their 38 nephews and nieces, 32 great nephews and nieces and 5 great great nephews and nieces. He was further loved by his 9 siblings: Josefa (Lalo) Melero, Petra (Nicho) Borrego, Concha (Lazaro) Perez, Lupe Lazcano, Nena (Alejandro) Garcia, Jose (Consuelo) Lazcano, Maria (Victor) Yanez, Rafael (Maricela) Lazcano, Chuy (Danny) Barker. He is preceded in death by his wife Pepita, his parents Rafael and Guadalupe Lazcano, his 2 sisters Lupe and Nena and brother-in-laws Lazaro and Lalo.
Visitation will be held at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home located at 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186 on Friday, September 29th from 4pm to 8pm with service beginning at 7pm. Procession for burial will be at 10am on Saturday, September 30th from the funeral home and end at Prairie Home Cemetery located at 605 S. Prairie Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.
Epifanio Lazcano nació el 7 de Abril en el año 1943 en El Potrero de los Indios en Durango, México. Entró a la vida eternal el Jueves 21 de Septiembre a las 2:04 de la mañana rodeado de su amada familia en Waukesha, Wisconsin a la gran edad de 80 años, uniéndose con su fallecida esposa, Leonila (Pepita) Acosta.
Hombre bondadoso de gran corazón, conocido en la comunidad Hispania como Pifanio, y Epi en la comunidad que hable el inglés, siempre hizo sentir a todos como en familia. Su casa siempre abierta y la mesa siempre llena de comida.
Como muchos de nosotros, tuvo una vida difícil por lo cuál
algunas personas lo verían como persona brusca. Todo cambió en el cuando ofreció su vida al único salvador, Jesucristo, se ganó el respeto de todos los que lo conocieron al compartir con ellos su testimonio.
Pifanio fue bautizado en el Golden Lake el 27 de Agosto 2017. Pifanio continuó su crecimiento espiritual al leer su biblia diariamente y asistiendo a las reuniones de su iglesia, El Templo La Hermosa.
Pifanio contrajo matrimonio con Pepita el 2 de Mayo de 1970 y juntos procrearon seis hermosos hijos: Lola (Felipe) Martinez, Pancho (Cheryl) Lazcano, Johnny (Valerie) Lazcano, Ruben (Amanda) Lazcano, Silvia Lazcano, Richard (Megan) Lazcano, y dos nietas consideradas como hijas: Maribell and Shaila Martinez.
Las mas grandes tesoros de Pifanio y Pepita fueron sus 14 nietos, 38 sobrinos y sobrinas, 32 sobrinos nietos y nietas y 5 grandes sobrinos nietos. El será siempre querido y recordado por sus 9 hermanos y hermanas: Josefa (Lalo) Melero, Petra (Nicho) Borrego, Concha (Lazaro) Perez, Lupe Lazcano, Nena (Alejandro) Garcia, José (Consuelo) Lazcano, Maria (Victor) Yanez, Rafael (Maricela) Lazcano, Chuy (Danny) Barker. El sigue a la eternidad a su esposa Pepita, sus padres Rafael y Guadalupe Lazcano, sus dos hermanas Lupe y Nena, y a sus dos cuñados Lazaro y Lalo.
La visita será en la funeraria Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home de 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186 el Viernes 29 de Septiembre de las 4pm hasta las 8pm, iniciando el servicio religiosa a las 7pm. La procesión para el cementerio será el Sábado 30 de Septiembre a las 10 de la mañana, inicia en la funeraria y termina en el Prairie Home Cemetery de 605 S. Prairie Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.
