Eric Eugene Coleman, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, departed from this life on January 23, 2026, at the age of 60. He was one of 6 children born to the union of Rayfield and Rubystine Coleman. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Second Nazareth Baptist Church. He loved God, had strong faith and had a heart for service. He attended Booker T Washington High School in Orleans Parish. He was loved by many in his community, especially the elderly. He embodied a great sense of humor and brought laughter to all spaces. He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters- Dieadrie Coleman Williams (Demetirus), Renee Coleman Woods, Kimberly Robinson, Brothers-Ray Anthony Coleman Sr, (Lashaun), Rodney Coleman, Dwayne Coleman, loving Aunt/Second Mom Melvina Robinson and a host of nephews, nieces and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Rayfield Coleman and Rubystine Coleman. He will be missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, February 21, 2026, for 10:00 a.m. at Third Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, 2132 3rd Street, New Orleans, LA 70113. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Kendrick Allen, officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery. Guestbook Online: www.anewtraditionbegins.com (504)282-0600.
