Eric Scott Davis

Eric Scott Davis, age 35, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, in Canton, GA. His life was a testament to his passions and the affection he held for those around him. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Eric's faith was a cornerstone of his life. His love for football was undisputed, with unwavering support for his beloved Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Eric loved the outdoors and cherished times spent hunting and fishing. An avid reader, Eric enjoyed comic books and superheroes.
Eric loved his family; he took pride in being "our sweet little boy" and embraced his role as a mama's boy with endearment. His intellect shone bright, particularly his knack for numbers. Eric's warm spirit, resilience, and kindness will forever capture the essence of his being. To know Eric Davis was indeed to love him. His memory will be treasured and his presence deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Shirley Nichelson, and uncle, Bryant Davis.
Survivors are his mother, Rhonda Nichelson; father, Kenny Davis; sister, Katelyn Gillio (Nate); partner, Ashley Richards; son, Brayden Davis; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Cora Mae Davis; as well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Sunday, May 11th from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, May 12th from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Nichelson, Brandon Nichelson, Chris Mata, and Jeremy Nichelson.
