West Boylston- John Eric Edwards passed away July 6th 2024 at the age of 80. Born in Walton, New York on August 21st, 1943. He leaves behind his wife, Betsey, of 59 years; three sons, Kenneth, Kevin, and Kristopher; daughter in law, Patricia; grand daughter, Misty; great grand daughter, Addison and a brother Bob.
After graduating from state university of New York, he spent most of his adult life designing, engineering, consulting and selling building components for which he received many top salesman awards. In the last eighteen years of his career he was CEO and President of XRS incorporated. Until he retired, he had always been involved in JA, JC’s, CSI and was a volunteer fireman where he achieved the rank of chief engineer and received a fireman of the year award. He enjoyed coaching little league and soccer for his sons Kenneth and Kevin.
He got his greatest pleasure from helping others as there was little he couldn’t repair. He enjoyed working on projects with his son, Kris, and was most proud of their restoration of a 1957 Chevy. He couldn’t play golf for beans but sure loved trying.
He had moved several times during his life for work requirements, but now he will be returned to the hills and town of his fond memories that he always considered home.
Services will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
