Eric Gunn, 53, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2025 in New York.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 23rd at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bismarck. Burial will be in the Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, one hour prior to time of service at the church.
Eric was born on October 10th, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Benjamin Gunn Jr. and Maria Elia (Guajardo) Gunn. He attended schools in Los Angeles, California and Pocatello, Idaho. He obtained his GED and attended Job Corp where he became very skilled in Stucco and Masonry.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, metal detecting, and spending time with family. He was very active in the LDS church and had many callings over his lifetime. He enjoyed genealogy and had a passion for Temple work.
He married Michelle Flyinghorse and they had 5 children, Keana, Ciara, Keith, Christian, and Moroni. They were later divorced. He married Rosemir Atillo and they had 2 children, Mavis and Sophia. His kids were the light of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Elia; wife, Rosemir; daughters, Keana, Ciara, Mavis, & Sophia; sons, Keith and Christian; brothers, Ben (Jeanne), Larry (Amy), Pablo, Miguel (Tess), Terry, & Arturo; and sisters, Celeste, Veronica, and Afton.
He was preceded in death by his father Benjamin Jr. Gunn, and his son Moroni Gunn.
