Eric Carnell Hensley, born on June 25, 1975, in Burke County, North Carolina, passed away on August 13, 2025, at Mission Hospital McDowell. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his vibrant personality and passion for life.
Known as an avid sports fan, Eric particularly had a soft spot for basketball, proudly cheering for the UNC Tarheels. His infectious sense of humor brought joy to those around him, making gatherings lively and filled with laughter. Eric’s life was enriched by his dedication to family and faith. He attended the Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Patricia Newton and Drew, Deanna Hensley and Josh, and Tessa Hensley and Brandon. Eric also leaves behind his brothers, Donnie Ogle and Kim, Cary Hensley and Carmela, and Mike Hensley and Kim, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
A gathering for friends and family will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Mt Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.
He will be fondly remembered and missed by his family and friends.
