Eric Daniel Jonland, 65, of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away on June 17, 2024, surrounded by those he loved.
Eric will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Emma; granddaughter Kaylee, of whom he would say, “when I think of her, I see sunshine”; brothers Brian (Denise Mack) Jonland, Gary (Joan) Jonland, Todd (Laurie) Jonland; nephew, Brendan (Melissa) Jonland; and nieces, Maressa (Matt) Voss, Isabelle Jonland, and Ingrid Jonland; as well as his loving significant other, Gina S., and many friends.

Eric was born in Park Ridge, IL, to Einar and Mary (Burke) Jonland. He graduated from Maine South High School in 1977. In his younger days, Eric was a competitive speed skater and bike racer. He had a lifelong passion for music and was a confirmed audiophile. He was a long-time employee of Gunzo’s Sport Center and was an expert in his field.

Life was not always kind to Eric, but he navigated life his way, on his own terms, knowing that he had the love and support of his family and friends.

The Memorial Service will take place Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 3:00pm until 8:00pm with a Celebration of Life at 7:00pm at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont Avenue, Franklin Park, IL, 60131.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Multiple Sclerosis Society would be greatly appreciated.
