Eric Lee Panza, age 59, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Allison Park, PA, passed away suddenly on August 15, 2024 in his home in Sarasota, FL. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 30, 1964, son of the late "Augie" Panza and Lily Lesic Panza Ward.
Eric was graduated from Hampton High School in 1982 and then earned his degree from The Pennsylvania State University in December of 1986, with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He began his career at Lockhart Chemical in Pittsburgh, PA in 1987 as an International Sales Coordinator. After three years with Lockhart Chemical, Eric joined Rose Transportation as an Account Manager. Eric then relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan and then to Arlington Heights, Chicago where he worked for UPS as a Regional Manager.
Eric returned home to Pittsburgh, PA in 1997 where he started his own company, "To Your Door Delivery" and was Co-Owner and Vice President. While back in Pittsburgh, Eric also became care-taker for his late Mother and Step-Father, (Dr. Wendell Ward). After the passing of his mother in October of 2020, Eric moved to Sarasota, Florida where he has resided since 2022.
Eric was a huge fan of the NHL as he proudly and often wore an authentic team jersey, and not just of the Penguins. Eric had a great sense of humor and made many friends along his life journey. Eric did an amazing job of caring for his Mother and Step-Father and made it his purpose in life over the past 15 years. Since his mother passed during COVID in 2020 we have decided to bury Eric alongside of his mother, and reunited them at their final resting place beside Eric's Step-Father and Lily's late husband, Dr. Wendell Ward. In addition the Celebration of Life Service will honor both Eric and his Mother Lily Lesic Panza Ward.
Eric is survived by two brothers, Christopher (Beth Panza), Neal (Lynn) Panza. He is also survived by his six nieces and nephews; Ryan (Lauren), Justine, Zachary, Tanner, Paris (Caulin), and Chloe. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14th at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown with burial immediately following in Bakerstown Cemetery. Eric's Celebration of Life will continue following the burial at Il Pizzaiolo, 701 Warrendale Village Drive, Warrendale, PA from Noon-2 p.m.
