Dorothy J. Bubb

Dorothy J. Bubb, 74, of Mount Union passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at her residence due to injuries sustained in a residential fire. Born on January 18, 1951, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is the daughter of the late William H. and Amanda C. (Fogelman) Bruch. She is survived by three children, Barry Bubb, Jr., Heather Blystone and her husband William, and Jeremy Bubb and his fiancé Lindsey Garcia; five grandchildren, Luke Bubb and his wife Toni, Skyler Peck and his fiancé Lizzie Folk, Harley Peck, Shemara Peck and her companion Austin Landrum, and Damien Bubb; four great grandchildren, Ariana Burket, Paige Burket, Josh Burket, Nicole Burket, and one on the way; one sister in law, Rhoda Trevitz, and many generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Trevitz and Wayne "Buck" Trevitz. Dorothy was a 1969 graduate of East Juniata High School in Cocolamus and graduated with her Certificate in Early Childhood Development from Penn State University, University Park. She was employed and retired as a Caregiver in Group Homes and Private Residential Care. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, being outdoors, drawing, watching TV, especially Days of Our Lives and Professional Wrestling, taking care of and loving animals, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events; however, spending time with her family brought her the greatest amount of joy. Closed Casketed Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with the Rev. Nicholas Smith officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Millerstown. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
