Sandra L. "Sandy" Kirk

Sandra L. "Sandy" Kirk, 80, of Mifflintown, passed away at 10:25 am on Monday, October 6,2025 at her home. Born on November 16, 1944 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Shugarts and jean (Snavley) Shugarts. On December 16, 1961, she married her husband, Larry Kirk with whom she was blessed to share over 37 years of marriage before his passing on May 16, 1988. She is survived by her children, Sherry Wagner and husband, Rick of Lewistown, Karen Brown and husband, David of Reedsville, Kristie Goshorn and husband, Jim of Port Royal. She is also survived by siblings Lawrence Shugarts of Mifflintown, Louise Shivery of Mifflintown, grandchildren Andrew and Stacie Wagner of Duncansville, PA, Ross Wagner of Falls Church, VA, Cindy Brown of Hershey, Matthew Brown of Orlando, Fl, Adam and Callie Goshorn of Harrisburg and Sarah Goshorn of Port Royal. In addition to her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Sedlak, formerly of Warren, PA. She was a graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown. Sandy worked as a payroll clerk at JC Penney. Sandy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin. She enjoyed gardening, going to Disney, as she was an avid traveler there but, most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown with Pastor Mindy Petrovcic officiating. Interment will be private at Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown. Viewing will be held on Friday, October 10th, 2025 from 3-4 PM at the funeral home.
