Eric Scott Peisel, age 38 years, affectionately known as “E,” was born on December 30, 1986, in Flemington, NJ, and passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025. A lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, NJ, Eric was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Eric graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 2005, and his passion for life continued to shine brightly thereafter. He was known for his infectious laughter and his remarkable ability to make others smile. Eric's caring nature made him the first to inquire about the well-being of those around him, reflecting a warmth that endeared him to friends and family alike.
Among his many interests, Eric found delight in WWE wrestling, watching motocross, playing video games and mowing the lawn with his nephews on his lap "yap." He also shared cherished moments watching NASCAR with his father. A devoted fan of the Chicago Bears, he also had a deep love for music, particularly enjoying the sounds of Blink-182, Angels & Airwaves, Aaron Lewis, and the vocals of Linkin Park's Chester Bennington. These passions enriched his life and created lasting memories.
Eric is survived by his Mother, Deborah "Debbie" (Gaines) Peisel, of Holland Township, NJ, Father and Step-Mother, Scott and Cindy Peisel, of Stewartsville, NJ; Grandmother, Shirley Gaines, also of Holland Township, NJ; Sister and Brother-in-law, Heather and Justin Bentzinger, of Three Bridges, NJ; Nephews, Sawyer and Rowan Bentzinger; Uncle David "Unc" and Aunt Donna Peisel of Delaware, Aunt Cindi and Uncle Robert Lovell, of Bluffton, IN, and Aunt Christine Klipphahn of Delaware; and many loving cousins.
Eric's legacy of kindness is beautifully remembered through his final act of generosity as an organ donor, a testament to his caring spirit. He was predeceased by his beloved canine companion and therapy dog, Bella, who brought him comfort and companionship.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in September at a location to be determined. Please refer back to Eric's memorial page for further details once they are known.
