Eric D. Schultz

Eric D. Schultz, age 62, of Waltz, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Born on August 4, 1963, in Wayne, Michigan, Eric was the beloved son of David and Carolyn (Johnson) Schultz. He grew up in the Huron community and graduated from New Boston Huron High School with the Class of 1981.
Eric built a dedicated career as a proud member of Operating Engineers Local #324, where he worked for many years until his retirement. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he made lasting friendships through his union and career.
Outside of work, Eric enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He was an avid reader and gardener, often found tending to his plants or immersed in a good book. He loved NASCAR, had a passion for antiques, and especially enjoyed spending time in his garage, tinkering and creating.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, David G. Schultz; his mother, Carolyn B. Schultz; and his daughter, Rosemarie Schultz.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his son, Dalton D. (Marlana) Schultz; his brothers, Kurt (Sandy) Schultz and Christopher (Christy) Schultz; his nephew, Christopher Schultz, Jr.; and his niece, Catherine Schultz.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel. We rejoice in knowing that Eric is at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior. A Christ-centered service of remembrance and celebration will follow at 1:00 p.m., led by Rev. Kyle E. Jones.
Eric gave generously to many charities throughout his life. In keeping with his spirit of kindness, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Eric's memory.
