Eric Smith Obituary
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Eric Allen Smith,50, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Barksdale Community Church, 1465 Patricia Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kendall Doctor.
Eric was born September 19, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Estel Wayne Smith and Nancy Whitt Smith, and passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Eric graduated from Haughton High School and went on to maintain a Bachelor’s and Master of science from Northwestern University. He also attended Nova University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for three years of medical school. He had a passion for music and could play the keyboard and guitar. He played with a few local bands. He loved to work and enjoyed his co-works at Ellis Pottery. Eric was a loving son and brother and will be greatly missed.
Eric is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Smith; fathers, Estel W. Smith, and John C. Michelle; brothers, Randy Smith, and wife, Darla, and Richard Smith; two nephews; one niece; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
