Eric B. Stovall, Sr. was born on Sunday, December 13, 1970, at Howard Memorial Hospital on the beautiful waters of the Back Bay in
Biloxi, MS. His parents, Mr. Walter F. Stovall and Mrs. Barbara E. Stovall proudly welcomed their new baby boy as he was a blessing to their family.
Eric welcomed in the New Year of 2026, thanks be to God, then our beloved passed away quietly at home in
Vancleave, MS on Friday, January 2, 2026. When we know Christ, then we can say with the psalmist, "My times are in your hands" • Psalm 31:15 Jesus came to give us life-life right now, and life in the world to come. To honor Eric's life, may we all be sure of our salvation and commitment to Christ today.
A studious young man, Eric attended and graduated from Vancleave High School in 1988. Pursuing higher education, he enrolled at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Afterwards, he began work at Ingalls Shipbuilding.
Eric was a lifelong expert at tinkering with cars and building engines. He developed a passion for all things mechanical and was bitten by the mechanic bug as he watched his Uncle Tony, (10-4), work on cars under the Oak Tree. This later grew into an obsession for Eric and an immense love of making things go fast.
Eric spent countless hours on his Mustang, "Dirty D," with hopes of one day taking it through the 1/4 mile at the Gulfport Dragway. However, he passed that torch to his second-born son, Aaron who shares his amazing zeal and passion for cars.
Gone before Eric to meet the LORD were his devoted Father, who passed in recent weeks, Mr. Walter F. Stovall, and all of his paternal and maternal grandparents.
To cherish precious memories of the 55 years God blessed his life to be, to carry on his legacy, Eric leaves his darling wife, Ruth E. Stovall, two handsome sons, Eric B. (Delenisha) Stovall and Aaron B. (Kamryn) Stovall; and two beautiful daughters, Krantria M. Stovall and Erykah Stovall; Also, his loving mother, Mrs. Barbara Stovall; and brothers, Walter Stovall, Jr., "Jay," and Kyle D. Stovall.
The joy of his life were his three precious grandchildren, Avery M. Stovall, Aiden B. Stovall (L'il Man) and Saxton B. Stovall. There are many other family members and relatives, including aunts, uncles, relatives and countless cousins treasured by Eric, just as they loved him truly. We are grateful for his Pastor and Church Family being a part of his life spiritual growth and for being our extended family as well.
"To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." • Ephesians 3:21
