He departed this life on February 6, 2023 completing his journey of 40 years.
Eric is preceded in death by a son, Gage Strickland a sister Marlena Rose Strickland his mother Regina Locklear Strickland, his maternal grandmother Rosie Belle Oxendine, his paternal grandparents Jimmie and Marcella Locklear Strickland
Eric, was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time with his daughter and friends and a special friend Thurston Locklear. He enjoyed trying to beat his daughter or anyone that would join him in trying to catch that "big one" that always seemed to get away.
He was doing heating and air conditioning work and also helping his neighbor with his paving company at the time of his death. Eric was a caring and compassionate friend to many. He was blessed with many friends in his life.
Eric leaves to cherish his memories,his father Roger Strickland, his daughter Zoey Jane Strickland, two brothers Raymond (Corrie) Strickland of Lumberton Jamie (Kelly) Strickland of Middletown, Ohio a host uncles and aunts and many other relatives and friends.
