Eric was a dear and loyal friend to me and I´m grateful to have shared time with him. He was a wise, compassionate and generous soul and I know he positively impacted many others´ lives. Eric and I began running together several days a week the summer after we graduated high school (a tradition that continued for several years whenever we were home at the same time). We´d spend the duration of the runs talking - in retrospect I´m sure I did most of the talking and he the listening. I recall many fun times with him big and small over that time period. One of the only times I ever stayed up all night until the sun came up was when he visited me in college. I have a vivid memory of us walking home that early morning and laughing about something. Eric and I both ended up in Atlanta after college and he was with me the night I met my now husband. I will never forget Eric and the kindness he showed me. May he rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

My first memory of Eric is in elementary school while he was wearing his boy scout uniform, I was wearing my girl scout uniform and we were playing at recess. I remember laughing a lot with Eric. He & I were seated near each other often in grade school, since our last names were close alphabetically. In middle school we had a lot of fun on band trips, just being silly. Eric excelled academically, so we didn't have many classes together in high-school but he was always kind to me & I always enjoyed his company. I remember Eric to be sweet and compassionate. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I am very sorry for your dear loss.

Eric had such a big heart. From a young age, his kindness and concern for others shone through, as did his intelligence and sense of humor. My condolences to his family and friends.

Eric was a very kind person who went the extra mile to help everyone. He was a walker and often we would see each other and talk. One occasion he was collecting plastic milk container´s to repurpose filling with sand and a candle to line the sidewalks in his community . My sincere condolences to his family.
