Eric Strohmeier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory - Frankfort on Mar. 10, 2026.
Eric Strohmeier, age 63, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with burial follow to follow at Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Bethel Crews Strohmeier, and his nephew, Ben Strohmeier. He is survived by his brothers, Kim Strohmeier, (Francie) of Fredericksburg, VA and Kevin Strohmeier, (Luna) of Rineyville, KY, and by his nieces and nephews, Lauren Kwon, of Springfield, VA, Ted Strohmeier, of Lexington, and Hannah Salkovitz, of Philadelphia, PA.

Eric lived with significant developmental challenges throughout his life. For forty years he was cared for with patience, protection, and love by his parents. For the past twenty-two years he made his home at Nathaniel House in Richmond, where the dedicated staff and residents cared for him with great kindness and became like family.

He was well known for his smile, his laughter, and the joy he showed when greeting others, bringing a great deal of warmth to the people around him. He was a blessing to the people who knew him.

The family is deeply grateful to the staff of Nathaniel House for the many years of devoted care they gave to Eric.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
