Eric Wheeler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc. - Munhall on Dec. 20, 2025.
Eric M. Wheeler, of Bethel Park, passed away on December 17, 2025, at the age of 47.

He is survived by his incredible son, Blaze Wheeler; mother, Joanne (fiancé, John Havel) Pace; brothers, Curtis (fiancée, Michele Landry) and Ryan (fiancée, Jessica Kenny) Wheeler; significant other, Lindsay O'Neil; dear niece, Raina Wheeler; and faithful rottweiler, Xena Blue. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Wheeler.

Eric, a decorated Corporal (E-4) in the United States Marine Corps, was awarded the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, a Certificate of Appreciation, the Rifle Marksman Marksmanship Badge, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. After his service, he dedicated himself to his community as a postal worker at the USPS North Side office. He shared a deep passion for hockey with his son; both were exceptional players.

Throughout his life, Eric carried the heart of a warrior, facing every battle with strength, resilience, and determination. As an organ donor, Eric's legacy continues to live on. He would be deeply honored to know that his final gift brought hope and life to others.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 27, from 1-3 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Blessing Service at 2:30 PM will conclude the gathering. Interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
