Eric Gordon Wondergem

Eric Gordon Wondergem, age 53 of Wilmington passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Eric was born in St. Paul, MN on February 18, 1970.
Eric was a graduate of Broughton High School in Raleigh, and was a graduate of UNC-W with a degree in Business Administration where he was a member of Tau Nu Pi/Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a Professional Business Analyst at Alcami Labs in Wilmington.
He was a dedicated Christian and was known for his kindness, caring and smile to all he knew. He was known for being a Handyman and could design, build and repair most anything. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with his family and friends whom he genuinely loved. Eric was known by his family and friends for being a loving husband, father and friend who would do anything for the people he loved. He was wise and determined, selfless, loyal, humble, hardworking, independent, athletic, and laid back. He supported many charities including the local Food Bank.
Eric is survived by his loving family including his wife, Connie Leigh Ennis Wondergem; his daughter, Caitlyn Wondergem; mother and step-father Diane and Rick Stevens; step-mother Kathy Wondergem; sister, Casey Mangum (William); step-siblings to include Brendan Meeker (Sulynn), Heather Meeker and Farrel Meeker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Michael Wondergem, brother, Michael Scott Wondergem, grandparents Robert and Maxine Benson, Marvin Wondergem and Marilyn Gunning.
A memorial service is planned for 1 pm Monday, June 19, 2023 at Port City Community Church in Wilmington led by Pastor Brett Eddy.
