Erik Robert Gustafson

Erik Robert Gustafson passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at his home in Minnetonka surrounded by family, after a brief but intense battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 47 years old.
Erik was a humble, appreciative and very happy man. Erik's wife (Robin) and children (Will, Evie & Nora) were the light of his life and the center of his world. He loved them deeply.....along with the MN Vikings.
Erik cherished friendships and gave his generously, which is why so many loved him. He was quick with a smile and thrilled at the success of others. Erik enjoyed the togetherness of small groups and family gatherings and the sense of belonging and community they offered and he gave to them. He was widely known as "everyone's favorite Gusto", because he was and will continue to be.
Erik attended Edina High School and the University of Minnesota, where he was a member of Chi Psi Fraternity. He was an accomplished and hardworking salesman as noted by his employers, colleagues and many sales awards. Erik greatly enjoyed the achievement of 'making a sale' and couldn't wait to tell you about it. He embraced his Christian faith with profound joy and sincere gratitude. Erik Gustafson loved his life and the people with whom he shared it.
Erik is survived by his beloved wife Robin and adored children William, Evelyn and Elenor; mother and father Jeanne and Greg Gustafson; mother-in-law and father-in-law JoAnn and Glenn Stommel; brothers David Gustafson (Jacqueline) and Andrew Gustafson (Elizabeth); sister-in-law Trisha Lynch (Shelly) and brother-in-law Brandon Stommel (Sarah); nephews and nieces Stephan and Grace Gustafson, John and Lily Gustafson, Emmalaine and Isabella Lynch, and Elijah and Easton Stommel. He loved and was loved by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many loyal friends.
Erik was preceded in death by his grandparents Doris and Harry Gustafson, Rhoda and Robert Stine; aunt and uncles Ethel and Jeff Gustafson, Dick Stine and Torger Omdahl.
Memorial service will be held Monday, August 1 at 2 PM at Meetinghouse Church (formerly Colonial Church of Edina) 6200 Colonial Way, Edina 55436 with family visitation at 1 PM. Memorials preferred to Erik's family. Service will be live streamed at www.youtube.com/meetinghousechurchmn
