Erin Olson Obituary
Cedar Rapids-Erin Marie Olson, 47, formerly of Belle Plaine died peacefully in her sleep of a sudden illness on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Erin was born June 21, 1978, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Randy and Arlys (Eckhoff) Eckel. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Erin worked in retail and annuities. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and St. Louis Cardinal Fan. Erin was compassionate, social, and had a real knack for wit.
She is survived by her parents; sister, Gina Shonka; nephew, Gage Shonka and niece, Everly Shonka. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Koszta Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marengo is caring for Erin and her family.
