Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd, Kenner, LA 70062. Esmeralda será sepultada en Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003. Erlinda Esmeralda Aguilar, 85, of Kenner, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Esmeralda was born on February 4, 1940, in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras, to Rafael Moya and Josefa Aguilar. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Santos Roque Girón, as well as her parents, three brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her brothers Arturo Moya and Armando Aguilar. Esmeralda leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her six children, 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved as if they were her own children. Esmeralda's love knew no limits. She was always willing to lend a hand, whether to family or to strangers. She loved gardening and traveling, and tulips were her favorite flower. One of her dreams was to visit the Netherlands to see the beautiful tulip fields. Though she never made that trip, her family finds peace in believing that heaven is filled with tulips even more beautiful than those on Earth. Her laughter could fill an empty room, her smile could light the darkest corners, and her jokes could bring joy to even the saddest heart. Esmeralda lived life like a carnival-full of joy, music, and love. To her family, she was truly an angel on Earth: loving, generous, and full of grace. Her memory will be cherished forever. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home on Friday August 22, 2025. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie. LA.
