Ernest G. Barks
Beloved Brother and Uncle
Ernest (Ernie) Barks passed away on Sunday December 28th at Cook Willow Health and Rehab in Plymouth, Connecticut.
Ernest was born in Providence, Rhode Island on September 30, 1947, the son of the late Howard and Shirley (Poyas) Barks. He was a graduate of Thomaston High School, Class of 1966. He was employed at Whyco Technologies for 35 years. Ernie enjoyed traveling and following his favorite sports teams, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Ernest is survived by his sister, Leslie Contadine, and her husband, Carl; his sister Susan Barks; and brother, Howard Barks, and his wife, Deborah. Ernest was predeceased by his sisters, Bethany Barks and Shirley Johnson.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Cook Willow Health and Rehab facility for their care and support.
Burial will be in the Spring at Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston. A private memorial service will take place at this time.
