Rita Hart

Rita (Wasielak) Hart, 89, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025 after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Wallace Hart.

Rita was born in New Britain, December 2, 1936, a daughter of the late John Wasielak and Sophie (Zacharski) Wasielak and had been a Plymouth, Ct., resident for many years before moving to Berlin where she was a parishioner of St. Paul Church in Kensington. She was employed by New Departure for many years until her retirement.

Rita led a quiet simple life, she enjoyed trips to the library, an occasional movie and pizza outing with her sister and tending to her roses. She will be missed by her community where she lived for the last five years.

She is survived by her daughter Sally Murac; her son Barry Murac; her sister Susan Lindberg and her husband Richard; her granddaughter Janele McAdams; two great grandchildren Eleanor and Teddy McAdams who she adored; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington. Her family will receive guests at the church at 11:15 a.m. Interment will be private in Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Britain at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Rita may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
