Ernest C. Chaloupka, age 82, died on November 22, 2024, at his home in Marion. Ernie was born on August 27, 1942. He spent his life in Berwyn, Illinois, Hamburg, Wisconsin, and southern Illinois. He enjoyed radio broadcasting, model trains, TIME magazine, traveling, military documentaries, the Beatles, coffee, and a good smoked cheese. He was preceded in death by parents, Georgiana and Charles; sister, Susan Valentine; and brother-in-law, George Valentine. Survived by brother, Harvey; children, Christine Larrabee (Bardsson), Jillian Van Hefty (Steve), Amy Chaloupka-Cabrera (Eduardo), Michael Chaloupka (Anna) and Eric Chaloupka; grandchildren, Madeline, Jackson, Alex, Charlie, Noah, and Andrew. Arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. There will be no public services. Inurnment will be held at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago.
