What a great man. Always humble and kind. I have had the honor of your friendship for along time. You shared your family with me and made me part of your family. May you Rest In Peace. I will truly miss our visits in the parking lot at the post office. Forever in my heart those moments we shared. You will be missed but you will never be forgotten.

I'm so sorry to hear of Ernie's passing.I sang with Ernie for many years in the Hamden Festival Chorus. They were fun years and I have many fond memories of him and Betsy. My sincere sympathy to all the Gunn Family.

Just a week and a half ago, I was sitting in the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC awaiting a concert with Audra McDonald honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As I waited for the concert to begin, I thought of Mr. Gunn and the North Haven Junior High and of my joy of appreciating all kinds of music that he instilled in me and others. His enthusiasm was real, his patience extraordinary. I can picture where I sat in the music room and the smile on my face when I left the class. Rest in peace, and thank you.

I had Mr. Gunn in 5th grade, He was a wonderful teacher. He had a sense of humor and was always happy. He left a memorable impression on me. My most sincere and heartfelt condolences.
