Quinta C. Platino Raccio, age 107 of Hamden, passed away January 16, 2025. Born in New Haven on March 12, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Carlo and Corina (Baldovin) DaVia. Quinta is survived by her daughter Carla Pascarella & her husband Ron Barthel of North Haven and her great granchildren Haley and Eric Pascarella. Quinta was predeceased by her two husbands Charles Platino and Joseph Raccio; her son Paul Platino; her grandson Eric C. Pascarella and all her siblings Antoinetta Rey, Corine (Rena) Vreeland, Irma Bernasconi, Genevieve Proto, Theresa D'Onofrio, Luigi (Louis) DaVia & Lindo (Lenny) DaVia. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. A resident of Hamden all her life Quinta was a treasurer for the Womens Axuliary at the Washington PM Club in West Haven. Carla would like to thank Quinta's nephews Tom Vreeland and Don Proto and Dr. & Mrs. Dominic Schioppo for all their support in her times of need.
Friends may visit with her family at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the VI Parish / Blessed Sacrament Church, Circular Ave, Hamden.
