I have known Genie since the first grade. Along with the Mayhue boys and Billy Enders, we all lived only doors from each other. We were fortunate enough to live at a time when we spend most of our free time together.
Along with the Mayhue´s, we were all on the same little baseball team. As we aged, we kept our participation going, Gene and Mark wrestled, I ran track and cross country, Gene played football. We rode " the jock bus" home together following our daily practices.
Gene was very popular, smiled and joked constantly. He was a true friend and fun to be around.
Gene´s death has left me incredibly sad. I can´t yet accept his absence from us. I am grateful to have known Gene well and pleased he considered me a friend. Gene´s spiritual beliefs have given him a heavenly home and a new spiritual body. I´ll miss you Gene, but await the day when our relationship will continue, in a time and place of great joy, happiness and peace.
Pax, old friend

So sorry to hear of Gene´s passing. School years we spent a lot of time together and random visits thru out the years always brought laughter and memories. Sincere condolences to the family and friends, just a great guy who will be missed.
