Ernest Anthony Mirabella

Ernie, 94, passed away on January 21, 2025, in Magna, Utah. He was born on December 27, 1930, in Salt Lake City to Albert and Teresa Mirabella. Ernie married Elaine on July 16, 1955.

Ernie graduated from Cyprus High School in 1949. He then joined the Air Force and served from 1951-1955 with an honorable discharge. He came home and married Elaine in 1955, and they had two beautiful children, Keri and Len.

Ernie enjoyed playing golf, and it was his favorite pastime. He was a member of the Copper Club in Magna, where he and Elaine both enjoyed playing in tournaments and games with friends. He made a hole-in-one at the Copper Club, with his best friend, Don Wiseman, present. Brett Wiseman and Tony Tolich were also witnesses.

Ernie worked for Dixon paper for many years before retiring. He enjoyed traveling to St. George and Las Vegas to visit his son, Len. They also made stops in Mesquite to do some gambling. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

For the last few years, he lived at the Beehive House in Magna where he was greatly loved and enjoyed the company of other residents. He especially enjoyed when his granddaughter, Blair would visit and they would have a glass of wine on the porch and talk about life.

Ernie is survived by his son, Len Mirabella (Brad (Indy) Holmes); 2 grandchildren, Brandan (Meagan) Booth and Blair Underwood; 3 great-grandchildren, Easten, Paislee, and Lyla.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Elaine; daughter, Keri; son-in-law, Luke; sister, Rose; his parents and Phyllis Mirabella.
