Ernest Wayne Murchison, 73, of Angleton, passed away from this life on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Visitation for Ernest will be Friday, October 4, 2024 beginning at 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Gardner's Funeral Home 507 W. Orange St., Angleton, Texas. The Celebration of his Life will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 2:00pm at Bible Way Outreach Church, 201 Miller St. Angleton, Texas. Rev. Alonzo Brown will deliver the eulogy. He was born on July 11, 1951, to Robert Lee Murchison and Roberta Cooper Murchison. He attended Blackshire Elementary then Ryan Jr. High And Jack Yates, Senior High School. As a young man Ernest Wayne was a member of Wesley Chapel in Houston, Texas. In 2004 Ernest Wayne and his family moved to Angleton, where he started working at Daddy Ray's Barbeque as the "Pit Master", until he retired in 2023. Left with unforgettable memories that will never be forgotten by his wife of 50 years Jacqueline Murchison; his three children, Ernest Monmouth (deceased); Tarsha Monmouth and Cody Murchison (Tiffany); his thirteen precious grandchildren, Anjelica Shields-Smith (Brittany); Devonte' Bradley, Alayah Bradley (Destin); Adaysha Johnson, Jasmine Monmouth, Jonasha Davis, Nickenya Trejo, Kennedy Gilford, Ernest Monmouth, Jr., Cody Murchison, Jr., DeCoda Murchison, DeCova Murchison (deceased); Sha'myra Monmouth. His four great grandchildren, Surayah Shields-Smith; Sabastian Shields-Smith, Madisyn Bradley; his three cherishable siblings, Robert Murchison (deceased), Brenda Murchison and Melba Murchison; his two aunts, Ora Murchison and Katie Murchison and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
